AJ was pretty much the cutest puppy I'd ever seen. Still is. I was heartbroken when he passed away in October at the age of 6. He was my boxer buddy and I was hoping he'd be alive long enough for my son to remember him.
I'm writing a children's book about dogs and I keep thinking of AJ's happy disposition. They way he jumped straight up in the air at dinner time. The way he held his favorite toy, a Jolly Ball, in his jaws and the proud trot he did when retrieving it. How he was always trying get someone to play "tug the ropie" with him. I hope to work his traits into the book somehow.
I miss his happy face.
